Itinerary
Pickup at 07:30 from your ho(s)tel by tourist bus to go to Chivay. On the way, you will stop at different spots: Stop in Lagunillas: for Alpaca, Llama and Vicuña watching. A stop in Pampa Cañahuas: for drinking coca leaf tea. And a stop in Patapampa: for seeing volcanoes at the highest point (4950 meter). In Chivay you will have a lunch buffet.
Arrival around 12:00 in Chivay. In the afternoon, you will have lunch and it is an option to go to the hot springs (not included). You will stay the night in a 3 star hotel in Chivay. At night you will have dinner including a folklore show.
Early departure around 06:00 to the town of Yanque. You will go to the “Cruz del Cóndor” the natural viewpoint where we can observe the flight of the Condor and the depth of the Colca Canyon. During the tour, you will observe the beautiful “andenería” of the canyon. During the return to Chivay, we will have some stops at the most outstanding points of the area. You will visit the traditional town of Maca, which is known for its colonial church: Santa Ana de Maca. After this visit, we will return to Chivay where you can have lunch (not included) and continue to Puno. Overnight in Hostal Totorani including private bathroom and breakfast.
Pickup at 8 am and sail to the unique floating islands of Uros. Here you will see people living on man-made islands by wood. The president of the island will give you an explanation how they are living there.
After Uros you will sail to the island Taquile. On this island you will learn something about the clothes of the residents. You will walk along the island until the Plaza de Armas where you will have lunch. On the way up and down, indulge yourself with views of wild flowers including Peru´s national flower: the Cantuta Altiplano. After lunch you will return to Puno with arrival time around 5 pm. Overnight in hostal Totorani.
Pickup from your stay and leave at 06:30 Puno in tourist bus to Cusco including English-speaking guide, entrances and lunch buffet. During the ride to Cusco, you will stop at 5 spots. Around 17:00 you will arrive in Cusco. The hostal will pick you up.
